NBA Pick: Cleveland Cavaliers
Cavaliers SF LeBron James, most likely as season MVP will be a handful, even for Pistons SF Tayshaun Prince. PF Antonio McDyess gives the Pistons a slight edge over PF Anderson Varejao. C Zydrunas Ilgauskas has outplayed C Rasheed Wallace this year.
Mo Williams and Delonte West had the shooting-guard-in-a-point-guard's-body problem at previous NBA stops, but, James is the playmaker, so all the rest need to do is make the shots that he creates for them. Williams, brought in from Milwaukee in an offseason trade, has fit well, averaging 17.8 points and earning his All-Star merits. Rip Hamilton is Mr. Reliable for Detroit, but Rodney Stuckey has been inconsistent.
James ranks with Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade as the best finishers in the NBA. He has an unmatched combination of strength, quickness and power. When the Cavs need points, they just need to give the ball to James. Hamilton no match for James in a tight spot.
