According to Mat Sundin's agent, he has not rejected the Maple Leafs, but according to a New York Paper, he is interested in joining Markus Naslund on Broadway.
It sounds like he is trying to figure out still what he wants to do. Is he going to the New York Rangers? Where do you think he will go?
Will he go with Naslund?

If Mats were to go to New York to play with Naslund, the Rangers would have to do some serious payroll juggling in order to fit him in....that is unless Sundin decided to pull a 'Paul Kariya Move' and sign at a serious discount just to play there. With names like Naslund, Gomez, Drury, Redden, Lundqvist, Roszival and Zherdev, the Rangers are left with very little cap space to fit in the type of salary that Mats would command. They could try trading one of the bigger contracts in order to clear up space, but that would mean dumping Gomez or Drury, and it wouldn't be good business to give up a star player in is prime for a star player that only has one or two years left - and those one or two years aren't even guaranteed to be good ones. In order for him to play for the Rangers, he'd have to sign for $500,000. Compare that to the 10 million he'd get in Vancouver it looks like peanuts. So unless he reeeeeeally wants to play with Naslund, I wouldn't bet on Sundin playing for the Blueshirts.
