Alright Trojan fans it is going to be difficult but there is still a possibility that we get into the title game. First of all, lets be in the holiday spirit and be thankful for the gift Oregon gave us by defeating the beavers last weekend. Were now guaranteed a BCS bowl. Now with these conference championship games coming up, there still is a possibility we get into National Championship. We need Alabama to win to stay in title game because their BCS average is too high that if they lost they might remain above us in the standings. Now we need Missouri to win the Big 12 championship which is reach but still a possibility. If these two things happen, then will have to get real lucky and leapfrog Texas due to their season being over. It would be USC versus Alabama.
If the men of Troy get the opportunity they will prove that they are much better than their early season loss to Oregon State. Lets face it, Trojans can do it all. They have the defense to stop any team especially Alabama who depends on their run game. Florida,Texas, and Oklahoma would all be tougher due to the spread but all the defense would need was a stop or two because it's not like the Trojan offense is having trouble scoring points. They have speed with McKnight and power with Stafon Johnson. Were only talking about two of many backs. Mark Sanchez leading the passing game using all his tools efficiently.
Now if they get to the title game, Penn State is the Big 10 champion. However they had trouble with Ohio State who USC demolished in mid September. I don't like comparing team wins like that because on the flip side Penn State beat Oregon State very easily. I think all Trojan fans have become accustomed to that one tough game in the northwest each year whether its the ducks or the beavers.
I'm not saying it is probable but it could happen. Worse comes to worst, were going to see a good game versus Penn State on New Year's day in the Rose Bowl. Bottom line, Trojans slay the Lions and eat them for dinner with roses all around in Pasadena. Fight On Trojans. Fight On!
