The usually soft-looking Gasol had 34 on the night. The Lakers really didn't have to worry because they had too many stars on their side. Kobe only had 21 but looked as if he were out at the Rucker rather than an NBA  season game. With behind-the-back passes, fancy dribbling, and his nonchalant attitude, the Lakers easily cruised to a 116-109 win.

And now that Gasol had a year to toughen up at the C position, he has really melded in the PF spot. I think he's averaging close to 12 rebounds per game. Bynum is also coming along. I think that he can do 10 and 10 just about every night. I haven't really gotten to watch Odom play much this season, but judging by the stat sheets, I think that he can step up a little bit more.
