Boy, this Brett Favre character really knows how to play with a man's heart. He's there, he's not, he's back, he's not, he's done for good.. PSYCH! He really isn't done, NOT! He is done! Today is opposite day, he's back! This is a legendary performance and my man, Brett, hasn't even taken the field yet. I'm so psyched; my friend called me that day.. and all I could think was they're baaaa-ack. Except instead of zombies, it was DB's screaming.

Well, that's disappointing. I've gotten a few Packers fans all riled up with my Favre and Away post and now he's staying retired.. OR so he says. Muuuahahah. I hope this isn't over, I can't get enough of this story.. it's so much better than the Michael Jackson coverage. Brett has done more, and if you don't think so.. you're wrong. Michael Jackson doesn't have a prayer after him I bet.. Brett does. It's no big deal, that's just who he is and why he will be missed.

Which is why I can’t fault Brett Favre for his decision to return to football. These athletes that we write about, particularly the elite, are like no creatures we’ll ever truly understand. They are the best of the best and as we’ve seen over the years, have difficulty hanging them up when their time has come. How many athletes, guys as tough as nails, have we seen break down into tears, sobbing like newborn babies at their retirement press conferences? One need only recollect a glassy-eyed Mike Schmidt or John Elway at the podium, reaching unsuccessfully for that next word with their hearts in their throats.

Roger Goodell has reinstated Brett Favre so he is now able to head to Packers camp. According to various sources he will report Monday around noon. I am sure their will be a media frenzy around this. Favre is still considering two options that the Packers have offered and that is a 20 plus million to go back into retirement or a seat on the bench.

After watching Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers kick the Seattle Seahawks to the curb in a snowstorm it makes you wonder if this Packers team could actually beat New England. Now these upstart Packers are young, but they have a General who leads them into battle and his name is

NFL Playoffs!? That can only mean one thing – bandwagon season! Now that my team #1 and #2 are done for the season, its time to jump on the way only a true NFL football fan can.
My Tampa Bay Buccaneers played an exceptional first quarter today and then decided to fall asleep on me. Too bad the game has four quarters! Argh! I really thought they could make something happen this year. My #1 team(s) the San Francisco 49ers and the Oakland Raiders never even made it to the playoffs - so the time has come for auxiliary cheering methods – jump on the bandwagon! I have planned out who I will be rooting for next week for sure (remaining season afterward to be determined):
