I went back to www.basketball-reference.com and did some research to find out just who is the best scorer in the game today without a 50-point game.

Names like Kevin Durant, Amare Stoudamire, Brandon Roy, Chris Bosh, Danny Granger, Joe Johnson, and Baron Davis were all thrown out there.

As far as the Clippers go, Baron Davis' addition to the team is going to be under a big microscope. The Clippers have always come second to the Lakers. The Clippers and Davis, who had 11 points and seven assists, will need time to adjust to each other. Most of the top players didn't play in the preseason and it showed last night. It seemed as if after the first quarter, the Clippers lost their edge, (no pun intended.) They were subsequently outscored in each of the following quarters by at least 10 points. Not to mention that everyone on the Lakers' roster scored four points or more, including Josh Powell. (Who?)
