Auction Beginning June 25th Invites Fans to Bid on Celeb Golf Tournament & Celtics VIP Package
Celtics’ Coach Doc Rivers Partners with Ultimate Escapes, Tees Up For Charity

(Orlando, FL)—June 25, 2009 – NBA Celtics Coach Doc Rivers is partnering with leading destination club Ultimate Escapes to raise money for Shepherd’s Hope, a non-profit organization of volunteers that provides access to health care for the uninsured. Through Ultimate Escapes signature ‘Ultimate GivingSM’ program, individuals will have the chance to bid, via a series of eBay auctions, on six extraordinary packages including a VIP Golf Experience with the world champion coach in Orlando and a VIP Celtics package during the 09/10 season.

The first auction, June 25 – July 4, 2009, includes three offerings that grant the winners access to the exclusive collection of luxury homes usually reserved for members of the club: a VIP Golf Experience with Doc Rivers in Orlando, a five-night stay in a London home, and a five-night stay in a private residence in Turks & Caicos. As part of the Ultimate Giving initiative, all proceeds from the auction will be donated to the charity of Doc Rivers’ choice, Shepherd’s Hope. The auctions and details about each offering are available at www.UltimateGiving.com. Ultimate Giving has already raised more than $350,000 for non-profits, with a multi-year goal of collecting over $1 million for deserving causes.

I have one Question for Jhonny Peralta of the Cleveland Indians.. Why do you bother bringing a bat with you when you walk to the plate?  you never swing man.. i've seen you strike out LOOKING with bases loaded a few times already this year and with runners in scoring position alot... If i was Eric Wedge i'd send you to the plate with no bat since it seems all you want to do is draw a walk..

This is easiest Question for MVP in awhile. My only confusion is why is WADE so Strongly mentioned?  Wade is a great player and had an amazing season but if you look back to recent history when KOBE put up 35.1 points per game which hasnt been done in 18 years at that time he was 4th in mvp voting due to his team only being 42-40. no mvp has ever won with out his team winning 50 games or more... and lets also remember Kobe didnt have a great team around him either.. He had KWAME BROWN as his starting center and Smush Parker as his back court ally... Wade is 43-39 this year with numbers lower then kobe's offensively from his 35.1 season.. Wade was great all year but he shouldnt even be mentioned in the top 5 due to recent history of how the mvp has gone.. this year Lebron is clear cut

This years Lakers could be one of the best NBA teams of all time.  If they can all stay healthy they should run through the tough West and beat the Celtics  in the NBA finals.  It should be an interesting season.

With the west packed with great teams, who's going to make it through to the finals of the NBA Championships?  Can Boston beat Detroit for the east?

Who's going to win it all?
