Tony Romo is his own person let's stop trying to make him something he isn't. The media has been good through the years of turning a player into something he isn't by making comparisons. I'm sure you have heard people comparing Romo to Roger Staubach and Brett Favre or even Troy Aikman. Don't you think we are getting way ahead of ourselves. Yes, Tony Romo has played extremely well and his play has been one of the reasons that the Dallas Cowboys are 12-1 this season, but not the only reason.
Staubach, Aikman, and Favre did it over a stretch of time not just one season. People are putting a lot of pressure on this young man's shoulders. Being in the limelight in Dallas is tough and throwing more praise such as best every Cowboy quarterback sometimes does more harm than good. Romo to his credit though has taken it all in-stride. This comes from his parents who help keep Tony level headed. This year Romo has seen a big fat contract handed to him and dated Jessica Simpson according to different sources so all this press of the greatest ever just doesn't help.
Many times people fail to realize one bad snap one bad game in the playoffs and people will throw him under the bus just like they did another Dallas Cowboy quarterback named Danny White. White wasn't as bad a quarterback he was made out to be, but when you had to fill Roger Staubach shoes that's a lot to do. Let's not go down that path again and just enjoy what Tony Romo is accomplishing and take it for what it's for a great season.
