Free Agency Day 1, already going crazy with greed!!!

So free agency just started and already it's going crazy. I heard that they are even talking about a non-capped year in 2010. But I guess, with the economy being as bad as it is, even owners might have trouble coming up with enough money to shell out to these athletes. Who, in my opinion, should just be glad that they get to play. I can barely find a job, these guys complain about not getting enough millions!!!

That is what drives me crazy about free agency. It causes some of the not as good players to become over payed. Like DeAngelo Hall, first free agent to sign, and for good reason. He signed his new six year 54 million dollar contract at the moment free agency started. That is a lot of money for someone playing less than a half a season, don't you think?I do. I sure hope he can live up to it. Those poor Redskins have had high hopes at the beginning of the last few seasons just to fall short of their hopes. Maybe this year guys, maybe.

There are rumors of the Skins trying to pick up Haynesworth as well. I don't think they'd have mush money for any one else. Since Haynesworth's agent thinks he can get an easy 30-40 million dollar deal. I believe whoever is truly serious about acquiring that man will have to put up quite the offer.

But whatever happens in the off season is really not much of a concern for the fans of the champs. Pittsburgh is going to be tough again next year. With almost everyone coming back, it will be just as hard for any team to stop them, if not harder. The offense is going to be tighter, and the defense... well, they're the Steelers defense. Good luck. But I hope you all enjoy watching the off season drama unravel. It's always fun to see what extremely rich players are actually driven by greed, and to see the very few that still know what loyalty is. I love franchise players and wished there were a lot more. But like I said I'm poor, so I guess I just don't get it.
